The CrossFit Games are this week in Madison Wisconsin with All events starting on Thursday, including Masters and Teens. This is a huge departure from previous years as Teens and Masters competed early in the week. Note, Castro ALWAYS throws in some extra workout, so be alert for a Wednesday WOD. It is great to see these groups are getting the recognition and air time they deserve. With the new contract and partnership with CBS and Facebook there are many options for viewing throughout the week. Click here for all details.
In case you haven’t heard TPC (Coach Dave) received his CrossFit Level 2 training certificate. If you see him please take a moment to congratulate him. With Dave’s L-2 we now have 4 coaches with L-2 certifications and Nick & Julie are slated to get theirs in the fall. We the management and staff at CFB hold your safety and training in very high regard and by continuing our education our goal is to achieve a great experience for you all.
Beetle and Angie will be hosting the 4th Annual CFB McArdle Pool Party Saturday August 12. Sign up sheet is displayed on the reception desk. This very generous event by our hosts is open to all CFB athletes and guests. Please sign up so we have an accurate count for the Taco Truck. This is the best party of the year and an incredible gesture!! Don’t miss it.
Pure Indoor Cycling will be moving in to the back room (our former office) August 15th. Marla (Owner of Pure) and I have met and discussed the potential for cross promotion as I am always receptive to you guys trying new things and mixing up your training. We don’t have specifics for membership discounts but we will share all details as soon as we dot I’s and cross T’s. These are exciting times as we settle in to our new home where new opportunities are avaialable to us.
We would love to get positive “Athlete Testimonials” to post on the CFB Page. We want to share our community to all who can participate and your testimonials are so important in giving people confidence to come through our doors. If you have some free time and have good things to say about your CFB experience, please jot it down. We would love to share it. Thanks in advance.
