🙂 Happy Birthday April 🙂
No CF Kids Today
The new Box is looking good and we are organizing now for the best flow. So, things may move around a bit until we feel it is in the best and most efficient spot. We hope everyone is enjoying the new digs and we look forward to this next chapter of CFB. We want to send a huge thank you to everyone who contributed in some capacity to help us meet our deadline to move in before June 1. So much help tearing down walls, filling dumpsters with dry wall and wood, adding showers and new walls, painting, moving, picking up and laying floor. Tireless hours to get the space ready for Murph this past Monday, and we did it! None of it would have been possible without the hard work and volunteerism from Maria, Beetle, Shawn, TPC, Chuck, Marianne, Jim Sewnig, John Metger, Scott Fashel, Bill Kovats, Bill O’Donnell, Chris Grande, Lori Pappas, Josh Sanders, and last but not least Dottie; at 75 years young nobody worked harder to get us finished on schedule. 14 hour days with minimal rest. You are an inspiration and we are grateful for all you do for us and what you did for the Box.
Bring a Buddy Tuesday’s is a great opportunity to share your CrossFit experience with friends and family. If you would like to bring a guest to your workout we would be happy to have them join us and see what a great program CFB is. Our next Bring a Buddy is this coming Tuesday June 13. If you do bring a guest, please have them arrive at least 10 minutes early so they can fill out paperwork and meet the coach.
We will be starting our CF Kids Summer program June 27. JV will meet at 11:00-11:35am and Varsity will meet from Noon-1:00pm. Both will meet Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. The program will run through August 3. The cost for the summer is $175.
If you have college age children who want to get conditioned for fall or just want to stay in shape we will be offering our College Summer membership again. For $280 college students home for the summer can join CFB. The $280 covers from Memorial Day through Labor day. This is a tremendous value for our students. *Offer available to full time high school or College students only.
The summer recreation schedule is getting set. We will have a Re-Opening Party as soon as we settle in. Stay tuned for that announcement. Friday June 30 will be our Annual Sox Picnic Party. We will be doing the patio behind right field again before the game. We will rent a school bus to transport us to the game. This will not only be our annual gathering, but also a celebration of Halle turning 21! We hope for a big turnout. Tickets for the event will be $46 plus whatever the bus will cost. I will post a sign up sheet on the front desk. Please sign up and say how many people so we can reserve the proper amount of tickets.
Beetle and Angie will be hosting the 4th Annual McArdle Pool Party Saturday August 12. Save the date, more details to come.
New hoodies are in and they are GREAT!! Please check with a Shawn, Halle or a coach to get one. Hoodies are $60 and they are soft, light and have thumb holes!
We will be taking a hiatus from Sunday Yoga at the Box for the summer. There is free Yoga in the Park every Sunday at Crescent Park at 10:00am.
Parking at the new location: On the south side of Whipple there are 8 angled parking spaces and 6 street spots (In front of Fat Tommy’s.) On 111th: there is room for 6 cars just in front of the building and 6 facing west across the street. On Whipple north of 111th there are a dozen street spots and the bank has a satelite lot just to the east (next to Celtic Boxing.)
If you are on Facebook and have’t done so, please consider giving us a review. We want to share our community to all who can participate and your testimonials are so important in giving people confidence to come through our doors. Also, we would love to fill our “Testimonial” page on the website. If oyu have some free time and have good things to say about your CFB experience, please jot it down. We would love to share it. Thanks in advance.
