🙂 🙂 Happy Birthday Sarah R 🙂 🙂
As we look ahead to the new year we reflect on where we started 2016 and how we want 2017 to begin. I have witnessed a growth which any father would be proud of. We have seen 1RM in back squats, cleans and snatches get obliterated. We have seen our gymnastic abilities improve through basic skill work like strict pull ups, T2B drills and DU skill work. Bar Muscle Ups were the flavor of choice in 2016 with many of you figuring them out and executing. We have some exciting things ahead for 2017. The Open is only 58 days away and our planning up to now plus our program going into the season is looking great. And with the Games being in Madison we look forward to a fun season where we can bring a contingancy to spectate in August.
As I see old friends and new friends come in daily a smile comes across my face as I observe the care and importance your physical health means to you as you have entrusted me then the entire CFB staff to participate in your journey and run a program which I wholeheartedly believe is the best in the area. I honestly believe no other program cares for your health, well being and overall safety then all us staff members at CFB. I see a bright future for you all in 2017 and I am excited to be a part of it.
Shawn and I are putting the finishing touches on a New Year Challenge. Much like last year we will create teams of 4 with a cash prize pay out at the conclusion. Details will follow later this week.
We will begin our January On-Ramp tomorrow, Monday January 9 @ 6:00pm. If you have friends or family interested in getting on board with CFB please share this info.
CrossFit Kids regular hours returns today.
JV(6-12 years)Sunday 11:00-11:35am, Wednesday 4:10-4:45
Varsity(13-17 years)5:00-6:00pm Monday and Wednesday.
“Bring A Buddy” Tuesday will resume this Tuesday January 10. The program has been met with great success as we have introduced to a litanny of people and many of them have joined on. Please continue to share with your friends and family to have them join us the second and fourth Tuesday of each month. Guests do not need a chaperone and can attend any hour they are available. The workouts on these days will still be challenging to you all, our experienced athletes. However these workouts are easily scaled to all abilities no matter what their physical condition is. If you see the ad on Facebook pease like and share to spread the word. As this is now the new norm we trust you will continue to be the welcoming and inclusive group you have always been. So, If you see some new faces please introduce yourself and try and make them feel at home. We have all had our first day at the Box and it can certainly be an intimidating place.
With the potential of sloppy weather, please bring inside shoes which you can leave at the box or carry in daily. Salt and slush damage the floors, wreak havok on Halle’s back when she has to mop, plus nobody wants to do burpees in your slush puddle. Thanks.
We are having great success with filling the The Soles for Souls box next to the gray “casting couch” Thank You! We have already shipped seven boxes. If you have old runnning shoes or other athletic shoes, you may drop them in the box. Thanks and keep ’em coming.
TO ALL PARENTS!!! Before leaving the box, if you bring children, please look around the area your children were in. If you brought with them chips, crackers, pretzels juice or other snacks please note if there are crumbs or spillage. If you they got a cup of water; If they had paper, crayons or markers out; If they went in to the back and grabbed balls or jump ropes, if they turned on the TV to watch a movie, please clean up after them. We have brooms and dust pans in the laundry room. Please respect the coaches and staff to not have to clean up after your children. Much like you clean up your gear after a workout we would appreciate the same with the children.
