If CrossFit isn’t people’s thing, share with friends and family our Boot Camp run by Erika every Tuesday and Thursday at 5:00pm. We will continue to honor the Groupon rate of $84 for 12 sessions.
CrossFit Kids returns Monday and Wednesday this week, but no Friday. Also our Summer CF Kids program will come to a close August 21. We will take a few weeks off to settle in for school and get back at it in September. We will announce the start date soon.
We will have more details on the nutritionist as we get out of Summer. Busy schedules and end of summer trips are keeping us from coordinating. We will have info soon as promised.
Many of you have opted to have your account charged for items in the retail area by placing your name on our IOU board. For those of you who have grabbed 1 item (typically $3 or $2) you may have seen or will see that purchase added to your upcoming membership dues. Your dues will go back to normal in September, but this is the best way to save us money on credit card processing while being able to recover your purchases. Thanks.
Some of us are working in the back of the Box on an Oly program. This is a 12 week cycle, supplemental to everyday WODs, where we are trying to improve our Snatch and C&J numbers as well as get better at the mechanics. Columbus Weightlifting has been so kind to give me an Excel template where we can plug in personalized numbers for anyone interested in following the program. It is by no means easy and it will consume an additional 1.5 hours of your day 4 days a week, but, we think it is a very effective program and we are excited to be adopting it and eager to share with all of you. If anyone is interested please email me, firstname.lastname@example.org with your Snatch, C&J and Back Squat 1RM and I will respond with a custom program.
