CF Kids:Varsity(13-17 years)11:00-12:00pm
Thank you all who participated and/or dropped off cash or checks for Workout to Wipeout Domestic Violence yesterday. Along with all of us CFBer, 5 walk ins showed up to try CrossFit and donate to such a worthy cause. In total we at CFB raised $475 to support A New Direction and Morgan Park Juniors. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.
We will be around for anyone who needs judging for 15.4. Please arrive with plenty of time to warm up and get mobility in. Our Varsity session begins at 11 so all workouts must be complete before 11. If you have competed 15.4 and have no intention of a redo, please take a moment to submit your score games.crossfit.com
Next weekend will mark the end of the 2015 CrossFit Games Open. To celebrate the PRs, milestones, and firsts, we will host a BBQ at the Box Saturday afternoon. Beer, booze, burgers and brats. Bring a side, a dessert or a dish of your liking. We hope for great weather with great friends to close the 2015 Open season.
Boot Camp has shown to be quite a success. Let’s keep this going! Please share with your friends to get any non-CFB people in for it. If you still have the email postcard, forward it along to any of your friends. Remember, we will honor the Groupon price in house for those who don’t want to purchase through Groupon.
Sunday May 3 at 9am, RickyLynn Long aka Coach Lil Riki will be in Chicago and will offer a presentation of Flexible Dieting. This is a program which Sam and Jail are following with tremendous success. From Riki: “My definition of flexible dieting- I like to call flexible dieting “flexible eating” because it’s not exactly a diet, but simply monitoring your portions. This is a way of eating that we can sustain for the rest of our lives. You are given a set of calories/macronutrients that you need to reach each day, and it is up to you how you want to hit those macros. With flexible dieting there is no food shaming, no binging, no guilt, and of course no restrictions, just moderation. Without any restrictions, we are less likely to have a binge day, making flexible dieting the better choice in dieting, physically, mentally, and emotionally.” This will be a 2 hour seminar and cost $40 for CFB members and $50 for non-members. We will have a link to sign up, we can charge your account or you can pay upon arrival.
The sign up sheet is posted for the 6th Annual LaPorte County United Way Dodgeball Tournament being held May 16 from 10:00-2:00pm at Marquette High School in Michigan City, IN. We preach and promote playing other sports and activities, so what can be more fun then Dodgeball for the United Way? Cost is $300 per team. It would be great to get 2 teams if at all possible.
