Day 30 of Paleo Challenge…Halfway Home!!!
Open Gym 9:30-11:30
Yoga with Grace Noon
Evening Open Gym 6-8 pm
Remember we will begin Evening Open Gym tonight, 6 pm to 8 pm. This may evolve to a regularly scheduled WOD all day Wednesdays but for now we are opening up starting tonight. I know you evening folks have been missing out and we now think it is time to allow you some free time too. However, On-Ramp is still in the box Wednesday evenings. They get priority on equipment and space. Please be conscientious to their needs. Thanks
If you are an early AMer, you have noticed it’s getting very busy in both 5:30 and 6:30. We are so pleased so many of you are showing up before your day starts. We are tossing around the idea of a 5 am, 6 am and a 7 am to thin you all out. Before we commit the manpower, we want to assure there will be attendance. So please click the “comment” on the top of this post and tell us how you feel about this revised schedule. If positive responses come in we will begin as soon as Monday.
While it is wet and snowy outside, please bring dry shoes with you to the box. The rubber floors do not respond well to salt, nor do the rowing foot pegs and it is dangerous on out on the floor. You can leacve your WOD shoes here if needed. Thanks
Don’t forget the Paleo Potluck in honor of the halfway point of the Paleo Challenge this coming Saturday Feb 9th after the WOD. We have a sign up sheet so you can post the dish you plan to bring so we don’t have redundancy. Please plan on attending and sharing the dish that you are most pleased with so far. Everyone in the Challenge is looking very good, I am so impressed by the progress. The CFB Paleo Page on Facebook buzzes everyday and we have seen and tried some pretty tasty recipes. I hope all of you in the Challenge consider maintaining this lifestyle. I’ not saying be hardcore Paleo, but if you are feeling good, you’re feeling strong in the WODs then think that this is directly related to how you fuel your body.
The CrossFit Games registration is open. It is a great measure of your ability with almost every other CrossFitter on the planet. As adults we don’t have many events we can compete in; local runs, Tough Mudder, triathlons, and this is no exception. It’s another event to register for, compete in and have fun doing. And it’s a lot cheaper then all those other events, $20.
We have a Tough Mudder team going to Seneca, IL Saturday May 18th. The team name is Keep it Legal, password is chicago. Sign up to race on an amazing obstacle course with a great team. If we get enough folks we will rent an 18 passenger van to transport everyone. It’s gonna be a great time!

5am would be perfect for me!
I think I would be up for the 6am.
I would love to see a 5 am class along with the 6 am. Next weeks 530 are already full and I didn’t get in ANY of them and that’s really the only good time for me.
A 5 o’clock class would be awesome for me because I can still catch my train at 6:40
I’d be able to move from 630am to 6am, wouldn’t be able to push back to 7am.
5:00, 6:00, & 7:00 AM sounds good to me!
I would attend at 6am.
5am would be great! It would allow me to get a WOD in on days I work!
5 is too early for me and 6 is too late. I’m used to 5:30 but whatever you decide I guess I’ll have to adjust.
6 is too late for me, so I guess 5am would have to work
The new times work for me. I would probably attend the 7am
I agree with Maria, 5 is too early, 6 is too late. I would probably try for evening classes.
5am would work for me
Yesss…6am woukd work or me
i prefer 5:30, but i would get my butt out of bed if it changes to 5
.
The new class schedule would be great for Morgan and I
630 is ideal for me. I would try to make the 6 and 7 is too late
I like the idea of more class options. I will adjust my schedule accordingly.
5:30 is perfrect for me. and my work schedule! If the concensus is that change needs to occur. I would do 5, But 6 would be too late.
Not that my opinion counts, because I haven’t gotten my ass there, but 5am is great.
